More Than Stars is a super easy and quick sawtooth star quilt pattern that is a great weekend project to keep you busy during those quarantine periods.
Or if you just naturally social distance even before COVID and are happy staying at home away from people forever like me.
No Shame.
Fast and Easy Pattern
This is a great pattern to practice some quick piece flying geese tricks which means the blocks come together very quickly!
There’s only 16 blocks in the baby quilt so its super quick and you’ll be making them left and right for any baby shower you get invited to.
Super Simple Quilting
I’m a pro at over quilting things, and when you over quilt things, the quilts tend to get a bit stiff and take longer to soften up.
I love how this pattern allows for some super simple straight line stitch in the ditch quilting to outline the patches in the blocks.
To make this easy, make sure you get a walking foot for your sewing machine, it’ll keep your stitches nice and even as you work across the quilt.
Check out the one I use on Amazon here.
The minimalist quilting really lets the fabrics stand out! Not to mention makes quilting only an afternoon project 😛

How to Stitch in the Ditch
I love the effect of stitching in the ditch to quilt a quilt, and that it makes your quilt patches really pop and shows off the piecing of each block.
Not to mention adds just enough quilting to be nice and comfy for a new baby.
I’m loving this new baby quilt pattern More Than Stars, and can’t get over how cute the Disney quilt theme on the tester turned out. So if you want to try this one out for yourself, check it out below! (Hover over for page navigation at the bottom of the preview window)
