Calling all Pattern Testers!
Getting a pattern out of my head and on paper for you to try out is not an easy process and takes a tribe.
I can easily just write down my process and put it out there, but your brain may not work the same as mine and the pattern will likely have mistakes or will be just confusing in general.
So I’m putting together a special corner of my email list just for pattern testers. Any time I have a pattern that I’m looking to have tested for accuracy I’ll reach out to the list and ask for volunteers to make the quilt top using my drafted pattern.
If you sign up for the list, you will not be required to test every quilt that I reach out about. If the timing isn’t right, life is too crazy, you’re in the middle of another project, or just don’t like the quilt pattern, it’s no worries. Respond if you’re interested and have the availability, or don’t respond and wait for the next one.
In order to avoid situations where the amount of responses are overwhelming, I will respond back to let you know if you have been chosen to be a tester.
If you are chosen to help test the pattern, you’ll receive a copy of the drafted pattern and get 3-4 weeks to complete the quilt top and reply with any comments or corrections to the pattern. Quilting and binding the quilt will not be required in that 3-4 week time frame.
If you are chosen, please be honest! If something is spelled wrong, worded weirdly, or the math is just not there, let me know! I promise I can take it, and it’ll make a better pattern for it.
And lastly, if you are chosen, part of the requirements are to post a picture to social media of your finished quilt top! I would love to include some of the testing quilts in the release of the quilt pattern and will credit you as the maker if included.
So don’t hesitate to sign up, let’s make some quilts 🙂
